Brendan WilliamsManaging Director0428 428 708 Whether it's face to face, phone or twitter, talking technology and trouble shooting with farmers far and wide is what Brendan loves best. His passion for agriculture and engineering started as a boy growing up on the family sheep and grain farm at Miram in the Wimmera, influenced by a conservationist grandfather and an enquiring mind. After obtaining his bachelor of Agricultural Engineering at the University of Melbourne and a decade in the industry his insatiable thirst for knowledge took him to the UK to complete his Masters in Agricultural Engineering in the early 90's focusing on the characteristics of chemical droplets delivered from boomsprays. Academia, GPS-Ag Pty Ltd and farming followed, come 2021 to be working with the "Dutchies" and the close knit team at Rometron Australia bringing cutting edge technology to Australian Farmers he reckons its a great place to be. This year saw him travel extensively to the USA, South Amercia, China and Europe keeping a breast of the big picture. Brendan's a supporter of Farmers for Climate Action, a great advocate for ongoing research and promotion of evidence based agricultural practices to ensure farmers are central to addressing climate change. Hamish McIntoshGeneral Manager0411 845 669 Hamish joined the Rometron Australia team over two years ago as engineering manager, now having made his way to general manager. Having great attention to detail and a passion for getting things done he is an asset to our growing business. Designing and overseeing WEED-IT reto-fitting to a variety of boom sprays as well as designing our own baby - the OPTISPOT 7 orchard sprayer, Hamish let his engineering skills do the talking. No stranger to bringing concepts to life, in Hamish' prior roles including with Thales Australia he supervised design projects for the Bushmaster (arguably Australia's most technologically advanced vehicle). A farm boy from The Riverina his childhood love of farm machinery saw him complete Mechanical Engineering at Monash University then go onto study Project Management at the University of Adelaide. Hamish's excitement at having done the full circle and now working back in Agriculture is obvious. Hamish is pictured on farm assisting an end user with their WEED-IT calibration. A fan of the odd vanilla slice and our current paper plane champion ( no mean feat amongst a bunch of engineers !), Hamish enjoys water skiing and spending time with his young family. | |
